Privacy
This is an interim privacy notice for the Preplocal beta. It describes how we handle information today and will be finalised before general availability.
What we collect
Account details (your name, email and the business you act for), the businesses and delivery sites on the platform, and the records of your activity: orders, invoices, payments, deliveries and support messages. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we receive a confirmation and the last four digits, never your full card number.
Why we hold it
To run the marketplace: to take and price orders, move goods between warehouses and your sites, take payment and issue invoices, and to give suppliers and operators the information they need to fulfil your orders. We also use it to keep the platform secure and to answer your questions.
Who it is shared with
Only the parties needed to complete your orders and run the service: the suppliers and storage/delivery operators handling your order (they see what they must to fulfil and deliver it), and our service providers: Stripe for card payments, Xero for invoicing, and our email provider for the messages we send you. We don't sell your data.
Keeping it
We keep order, invoice and payment records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our record-keeping obligations. A formal retention schedule is part of what we're finalising before general availability.
Your data
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise a concern about how it's handled at hello@preplocal.com. Because accounts are tied to a business, some records must be kept even if an individual login is removed.
